Hey! I'm starting to run of new books to read, so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions? I'm not allowed to read Twilight, or anything along those lines. Thanks!

Ooooh, book suggestions! Do let me contribute! First: I agree that the Artemis Fowl series is amazing! I completely recommend them.
Second: I Am The Great Horse, by Katherine Roberts, is an awesome novel about Alexander the Great's conquest of Asia, told from the perspective of his warhorse, Bucephalus! I literally could not put it down!
Third: Ever heard of the Phantom Stallion series? They're about a girl who lives on a ranch in Nevada, with wild horses practically in her own back yard, and especially a mysterious stallion that seems to have a bond with her! They are fantastic, though they sound a bit cheesy at first blush, and there is a sequel series called Wild Horse Island that you can read afterwards. I love 'em to bits!
Fourth: If you want some epic adventure, anything by Alexandre Dumas (but especially The Count of Monte Cristo or The Three Musketeers) is a great read! Can't beat the classics.
Fifth: Another historical novel for your perusal would be Johhny Tremain, by Esther Forbes. It is a spectacular book about a boy who lives in Boston at the beginning of the Revolutionary War, and it is one of the best-written books I have ever read. And it has an awesome horse in it.
Hope it helps! Third:

Starry, thanks! I have read the entirety of the Phantom Stallion series, and I own Johnny Treimen... I'll have to see if the library has "I am the Great Horse" (I was actually thinking of writing about Bucephalus, and the conquest from Bucephalus' veiwpoint... oh well, guess I'll just do it from King Arthur's horse, Hengroen or Llamrei...) I tried reading The Count of Monte Cristo back when I was.... 9? 10? and it utterly bored me to death, but I'll give it another try XD

I suggest that you do, it has to be one of my favorite books ever.
And a few more suggestions, since you've already read some that i said:
1. Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. Soooooo good. And it's classic.
2. East, by Edith Pattou, is an epic adventure novel about a girl who encounters an enchanted polar bear and evil Norse trolls! It is exceptional and a quick read, especially if you love the whole fantasy aspect of Narnia-type books. Which i also recommend.
3. If you are feeling romantic, try Jane Austen books- my favorites would have to be Persuasion, Pride and Prejudice, and Emma!
4. I am a devout fangirl of Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey/Maturin series. If you've ever seen the movie "Master and Commander," which just happens to be my favorite movie of all time ever, these are the books upon which it was based. there are 21 of them in the series, and even though i'm not even halfway through, they have to be the best books i have ever read.
As for myself, i am currently working on quite a few books: The seventh Artemis Fowl book, by Eoin Colfer (i didn't know of its existence until last week! eek!), Jude the Obscure by Thomas Hardy, Middlemarch by George Elliot, Atlas Shrugged (though i think i'll save it for summer) by Ayn Rand, The Mauritius Command by Patrick O'Brian, and a couple of books for an essay i am writing! I would suggest all of them, but i don;t know how they're going to end...!

Hey guys, I have a book report due next Friday on April 8th, and it has to be about a realistic fiction book. I'm not big on realistic fiction; I like fantasy better, so I don't really know what book I should pick. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Keely, you could try:
The Dragon Chronicles by Susan Fletcher
White Fang by Jack London
Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens
Wish Upon a Unicorn series by Vicki Blum (I'm not sure what to else call it, as it doesn't have a real series name. But that's the first book in the series.)
And I agree with Starry on the Narnia books by C.S Lewis.
Also along those lines are: The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R Tolkien.
That's all I can think of for now. Ponyiowa, by realistic fiction, do you mean things like historical fiction?

Well, realistic fiction can be historical fiction, but really I'm just looking for a book that has events in it that could happen in real life.
