Hmm, my bookshelf is mostly stocked with fantasy books, but I'm heading to Chapters today, and I'll see if anything there rings a bell.

Starry, I'll have to read East and the Aubrey/Maturin series! Aubrey is the name of my Best Friend! LOL
Stardust, I've attempted to read the lord of the ring triliogy and I've read the hobbit....I love Oliver Twist, White Fang, and I'm in love with Sherlock Holmes! Nearly ALL versions! LOL I'll have to see if the library has Wish upon a Unicorn, and The Dragon Chronicles....
Do any of you read science books? Because I'm really into science, I have one shelve dedicated to nothing but science... LOL

Oh, I read Unicorns of Balinor, but at the eighth or ninth book it stopped, I think because Mary Stanton's contract time ran out or something. So, does anyone have any realistic fiction book suggestions? I think I'll need a realistic fiction book by before nine o'clock tomorrow.

For keely AND ponyiowa, I totally forgot to mention Sharon Creech books until keely reminded me! I pretty much love them, even though they're mighty weird sometimes... my favorites are Bloomability and Absolutely Normal Chaos, followed by The Wanderer, Walk Two Moons, and Ruby Holler. Which reminds me, have any of you ever read Richard Peck books? They are preteen/young adult historical novels- keyword here being HISTORICALLY AWESOME AND AMAZING. They are seriously some of the best of their breed- and I would know, being a major history nerd ! I adore "A Long Way From Chicago" and "A Year Down Yonder," which are about the same people, and a are hoot and a half. "Fair Weather" is good too, but the best best best best best one is "Here Lies the Librarian-" I once read that book thrice in a row, I loved it so much! I also forgot to mention "The Westing Game-" it's a brilliant mystery novel by Ellen Raskin. It's another book that I couldn't put down when I read it, there's always crazy new evidence and shenanigans popping up! Plus the characters are great, and the writing is witty.

Oh, and I dunno if you're allowed to, but if you haven't already, try reading the Hunger Games series. I mean, this post might be inadequate, because frankly, I haven't read the books myself, but they're supposed to be good ones.
