Well, it might not seem much to you, but it means a lot to me. Misty, the owner of a stable I used to ride at, and owner of Snickers, is selling EVERYTHING!! Including Snickers. I estimate that Snickers will probably sell for around... oh... 1-2 thousand, So, I need to find away to earn a bit of that, and my riding instructor would hopefully be able to buy Snickers. Any suggestions? My ideas so far are to: 1) Sell a bunch of stuff I don't use on Ebay 2) Have a car wash 3) In March or June have a yard sale...

Try Craigslist, if it snows, try shoveling. My brother earned 70 doing that for a few days. Any old toys you don't play with that used to be the craze of the century. Try asking your parents if there's anything you could do around the house for some money. Yard sale can help a lot. If you have any fish tanks or animal supplies you used to use those can sell pretty good if there clean. You could also try selling bella sara cards on here. Some peaple will pay a couple bucks for a shiny card. Good Luck!

If it's warm enough you could have a lemonade/bake sale.

Ebay definitely sounds a good idea, and so does a yard sale. And even if it doesn't snow, maybe you could offer to do other things for your neighbours like, mow the lawn? Try asking close family members to contribute to what I believe is a worthy cause. After all, as stubborn as Snickers sounds, I'm sure you still have a bond with her. During the summer months, you could try selling fresh lemonade or juice. That's all the ideas I have so far. Good luck!

Well, in the town I live in you can only have stands twice a year... and my dad won't let me mow other people's yards, because our lawn mower is electric.... -_-

Oh no! Hmm... Then the best thing, I think, is something that's already been said: Have a yard sale or put stuff on eBay like books, bella sara cards, old toys, board games, old electronics, or pc/ds/console games you don't use anymore. You'd be surprised what some people would pay for an old game or book. Basically just go through your things and decide what you aren't going to use anymore. Ask your parents for things they don't need, as well. I hope that helps!

My dad does lawn work, and sometimes brings me, my sister, or brother along to help. You can earn a lot of money doing that, it doesn't have to be mowing. You could clean off a fence, or remove rocks from a lawn. Try doing that for some family members, and even friend's parents, see if you could have a fund raiser ( I've never done one before, but you might get a few bucks if your parents say yes. ) and see if you can get your friends to help. I'd hate to say it, but if you become desperate, try selling your personal collection of Bella Sara. I'm sure several folks here would pay for them to help you out. A thousand dollars is not gonna be easy, although I must say, I use to visit horse auctions a lot, and even well trained horses sometimes BARLEY scrapped a thousand, he may be cheaper then you think.

Well, Misty is giving Dani for free... just because he isn't ridable anymore and is NOT laid back like the ad said, and Fyre is for 900 and he is not fun to ride.... And I'm going to try every way to get the money to Becca. Although at the moment I'm slightly terrified of Snickers.... Twice yesterday she spooked and bolted with me, and then later on she spooked over a jump... and now I'm afraid of jumping. What a wonderful way to start the year. There went my dream of showing in February...

What really helps, when you're doing a yard sale, if you put up a sign that says something like
MONEY GOING TO PAYING FOR A HORSE
Put a picture of the horse on there too. I did that once when I wanted to get a dog, and people gave me like ten dollars just to help me out! (and they didn't even buy anything!) It was amazing. So if you do a yard sale, try that! You could also try baby sitting or walking people's dogs, or looking after their plants while their gone. I'll try to think of some more, but that's all I have right now.

Keely, I know how you feel. I fell off my horse once, and was scared to ride him for several days. Then, when I got back on and was regaining my confidence, he spooked and took off with me. I was scared for months after that. Even to this day I'm a little scared of riding horses, I know you've probably had this happen before, and I know you've heard "A horse can sense if your scared" But it is true, so just, take it slow at first, like pet him, and try to forget that bad things, just remember why you love horses. Whoops, long boring, unhelpful speech there, sorry.
