Yeah, this is getting out of hand. Kona, no offense, but you should at least consider what Keely and Stormy are trying to say. Personally, I agree with them, and you shouldn't shoot down everything they say immediately just because you don't. Seriously.

Guys, guys...calm down. Even though you probably already have, but I sense a fight almost breaking out. As for me, I don't know what side I am on, and do not know what to believe, so I will remain neutral.

I'm not going to take sides because you both have a point. I don't agree with unnecessary deaths and horse slaughter is just that. And eating such a beautiful animal is horrible. But there IS a higher supply than demand and when a horse is put into horrendous states -like you sometimes see in newspapers or on the news- death is more humane than trying to look after the horse. But I think a better solution would be to either set them free, breed them with endangered species like Barbs or Preswalkis to stop them going extinct or put horse riding in the national curriculum, all of which are more humane and benefit people and horses in some way. Or at the very least they should change how its done, so it doesn't hurt the horse and if its pregnant then the horse gives birth raises the child and then gets killed instead of both of them getting killed.
