Alright I used to ride at this place www.chastainmist.com/ and well, all the horses there are being neglected. Tonka, a fresian who was in the 2005 movie Zorro is so thin you can see his skeleton structure. Jazzie a paint pony, is in the same condition as Tonka, only she has rain rot up to her knees and the other horses are in the same/worst/slightly better condition than these two examples. The local ASPCA does not have a stable, so my riding instructor must provide photos of neglect, which she and another lady are going to take fri/sat, to the local Sherrif, I'm trying to find out what I can do to help, any suggestions?

That's terrible, Keely! Though I've never had any experience with neglected horses, I am sure that there are organizations you could contact- would the police or a vet be any help?

Ponyiowa, there owner.
Starry, my riding instructor has contacted the local ASPCA but as it is they either don't have stables or the stables they do have are filled, so my riding instructor has to provide photos of neglect to the local sherrif... poor horses...

Oh my gish! That's horrible! I remember watching Zorro, and while I hated the song, I had loved the horse. To think that they would do that to that magnificent creature is unfathomable And doing it to others as well? They should be arrested and out in jail for their crimes.

O.O Pony, whenever there's a case of mistreated animals, you NEVER EVER speak to the owner, or confront the owner. Know why? because they'll more likely then not, go wacko on you. You could get hurt, or even shot at. So No. I'm going to leave that for the Sherrif, not myself, I may be agressive but I do not go around picking fights.

Oh, I didn't know that. You mean if you went and talked to the owner, they would shoot you? *raises eyebrows* That's violent....

Well, if you told them that they're treating their horses wrong they'll go on the defense, and if they're capible of neglecting their horses, what would they do to a person who confronts them? I'm very agressive, but when I pick a fight I only pick ones, that either I win, or I won't get hurt in.
