I wonder how they picked which horses and artists are the most favourite? Anyway, here's the link to the gallery: www.bellasara.com/bbs_gallery.aspx And this either sounds like the ending or they could be just summing up all of Bella Sara before taking it to a new direction. And yeah, they really should make good on their promises. I was kind of looking forward to the television show and the twelfth book. I just looked it up and all of the places say out of stock until I found one that said: Stock Out of stock Status Publication Cancelled I find it strange though because, besides the cover page, there seems to be details about it, like how many pages there are! Which means, I think, that the book was written. And it says the publication date was 2010-09-01, but I guess they decided not to sell it for some, strange reason...

Woah, really? That's interesting. It would be awesome if one of us stumbled on a copy of the book! I did find this: Meet Farah, a shy horse with a luminous and proud heritage who has much to live up to as the daughter of legendary horse Fiona. Farah teams up with young Astrid Sundlo on a treacherous journey to uncover the truth about a mysterious wild herd. This is the twelfth illustrated novel in the Bella Sara series.
Comes with a bonus web code that directs readers to the Bella Sara website for lots of interactive fun. And, Harper Collins, the website I found it on, has the cover and price and everything, but I can't find where to buy it! www.harpercollinscatalogs.com/harper/507_1592_313837393235.htm#readmore

My guess is they didn't publish the last book because the previous ones didn't make enough money. They weren't super-wonderful-good books, only ok. The same with the TV show I bet, they probably couldn't find a way to do the animation cheaply enough that they could afford it, or no TV station wanted to show it. And Bella Sara stuff other than cards hasn't been all THAT great, you know? The movies were so cheap they didn't have real animation, the computer game wasn't very good, the plastic horses were ok but there are so many other plastic horse toys it's hard to make them special. The only thing that's really really great is the cards.

That's true. Here's what JL Meyer had to say about the drawing she did of Farah: " The Mysterious Farah This piece was originally slated to be the cover to the book The Mysterious Farah. Sadly the book was axed mid-production (was half way threw the interiors). Hidden City picked up the cover to use as one of the cards in the Summer Camp set."

I am not planning to collect the "best of" series since I already have the pictures from their previous appearances, but I did buy one pack to see what they looked like.
The first thing I noticed-- the website seemed to say that all the cards in 'best of' would be shiny cards. At least that's how I read it. Not so. the pack had one shiny card and the rest normal cards. I think it meant that every PACK will have one shiny card, not that all cards will be shiny. My misreading.
The cards have a very pretty frame, purple with planets. each card has the "best of" logo on one side and the horse's herd logo on the other. At the bottom is the horse's message and what series the image is originally from.
All in all, if you're collecting pictures there's no reason to collect this series at all because there are no new pictures. If you're collecting every card, or if you're missing some from earlier series then you might want to get these.
