(Actually, never mind that. I'd post, but I have a question: is this element class exclusively for fire-elementals or what? Sorry if you explain it clearly in your post; again, it's about 11:40 right now, and I don't feel like reading that much.)

As soon as she opened the door to her classroom, Piper was greeted with a burst of warmth. "What the-" She widened her eyes at the sight of fireballs shooting all over the place. "Hello," a warm voice cooed from behind the front desk. "I'm Madame Evia, fire elemental and instructor. You're late." Piper rolled her eyes - those two words were becoming distinctly familiar. "Um," Piper began, her eyes scanning the classroom, "am I-" "Since you missed quite an important portion of our class, I'm going to have someone help you out here," Evia continued on, glancing around the room. "Go find someone to practice with, now, and watch your step." Piper nodded timidly and strolled further into the room. "'Someone to practice with'? How am I supposed to practice this?" she mumbled frustratedly, looking down at her palms and wondering how she was supposed to shoot fireballs out of them. All of a sudden, amidst all the noise around the room, she heard a voice call out to her. "WATCH OUT!" someone warned, just as a fireball whizzed past Piper, narrowly missing her visage. She gasped and turned to the fireball's shooter (yeah, my grammar isn't so great here...). "Hey!" she growled, glaring fiercely at the person (again, terrible grammar, as I can't find better words ).

(lol, do not fret dear friend, I long ago lost my touch which writing, for all of it sucks now Hmm, I use the face toooooo muuuch.....) Brean glanced over her shoulder to see what all the ruckus was about, and was surprised to see Piper. Noticing she looked lost, Brean walked over to her, but not before popping the idiot who almost hit her on the head. "Want to be my partner?" She offered kindly. (Crraaapppyyyy.)

(Perhaps so... Hah, "perhaps". ) "Uh, sure," Piper responded uncertainly. She offered Brean a faint smile after realizing what an idiot she must've looked like, and resumed, "So, um, what's going on here, exactly?" Well, that was a stupid question, she thought bleakly.

"Um, sorry!" Reb shouted out; She was the 'idiot' who shot the fireball; skittering over, she tilted her head. "I was concentrating, too hard I think, because I didn't even notice you in my aim of fire until you were right-" "Student Reb! Pay more attention, you could have injured Student Piper!" Madam Evia barked at Reb. "If you were more advanced, you could have killed her!" Wincing, Reb shouted back, "Sorry!" and then turned her attention back to Piper and Brean.

(LOL, "Student" Reb, and "Student" Piper. ) "It's- it's fine," Piper sighed, deciding to shake it off. "Just try not to kill me next time, 'kay?" She gave a nervous laugh.

Brean winced. She hadn't realized she hit her roommate on the head. "Hehe, sorry Reb." She apologized, stepping back towards the training area. "Well we are practicing controlling fire and shooting fire. I suggest getting the lesson from Madam Evia before you join us, otherwise you might burn yourself." Brean smiled at her, then left her to join the others.

"Right," Piper said affirmatively, beginning to walk over to Madam Evia. "Erm, 'scuse me," she said to Evia. "I think I need a quick lesson from you before I actually try it." She gave a slight smile and awaited Evia's response. "Alright," Evia answered after considering it awhile. "So..." And then she started telling Piper what she had earlier and explained what to do. (Eh... fail. )

Reb grinned good heartedly, and went back to her training. "Alright, so obviously this isn't a movie. I wouldnt believe that I have to stand in a certain way and start mumbling words that don't even make sense," She rambled to herself. "Of course I wouldn't have to do that! I just need concentration on the fireball and the outside world at the same time!" Raising an eyebrow, she stared at her hands. "So these are what created it. But maybe, all the magic within me, bunched out together to race through my veins and flood out through my hands into the air and form: the fireball! So, I just need to slow down the magic to slowly form the flaming ball, and then focus on where I'm sending it first, and then let it release. Because last time, I was simply concentrating on my target and getting the ball out, which ended up with the magic racing out of me, out of control." So, closing her eyes and trying to summon the magic to slowly leak out, she simply focused on getting some sort of flame into her hands.

"Does that sum everything up for you, darling?" Evia asked. "Yes," Piper replied, "thanks." With that, she gave a curt nod and strolled back over to a target. "Okay, so... fireballs." She glanced down at her palms and sighed, figuring out a strategy in her head.

Brean focused of the small ball of fire that rested above the palm of her hand, seemingly unaware of everything around her bit the target that lay ahead. She tilted her wrist slightly, getting used to the position. After checking over her arm at least five times, she confirmed it was right. She then stared at the fire itself. It seemed to tilt and turn, like a game where you have to shoot when it's facing the right way. Brean knew this was her fault, for not focusing on the power in the fire. She stared blankly ahead, trying to get a hold on the energy flowing through her. It was like wrestling, only mentally with something inside of you. She finally got a hold power after to several minutes of not blinking. She could feel it wearing on her though. Who would have thought controlling something would take so much concentration? After feeling she could take no more, Brean aimed at the target, and with a steady hand, released. The fire flew through the air, hitting a bulls eye on the target. "Yes!" Brean whispered to herself. She bent over, rather to think then recover (for she had already done so ) How is one to do that every time with a fireball? She has always been a fairly good aim, but it takes allot to control an element. Deciding to try to shoot faster, Brean stood up straight and summoned the energy again. Grabbing control of it as soon as she could, she fired but a second afterward. The fire went at least six feet from the target, but had it been six feet over, she would have hit. At least she was level with it.
